(Estimated reading time: 4 minutes)

Everyday a lot of people gamble their luck just to make their dreams of working in the USA or the Middle East a reality. But there are also those that stay hiding in the shadows, afraid to try and make a move towards achieving their own success. We have the tendency to be biased and usually focus on those who have victories that we often forget the people that got left behind.

We have so many different reasons for being stagnant and not fulfilling our dreams right away. The sad thing is that not everyone can keep up with the world’s fast pace. Others choose to just put their hopes up in the attic and forget they ever had the dream of becoming more.

Here are some possible reasons for this sad reality:

  1. Lacks Motivation

We all know that being motivated in undertaking any sort of engagement is really important. One cannot be successful enough if they are not motivated in any way. So why do they lack motivation? Probably they simply have no reason to pursue any dream as of the moment. Dreams are usually the driving force of our motivation.

  2. Experienced A Previous Failure

This person might have a dream, the problem is they could’ve experienced a critical or devastating failure in life that rendered them stagnant. There are those people that really could not move on from having a loss previously and they are usually afraid that they might have to go through all of it again, which can really be scary.

  3. Fear Of Not Meeting Expectations

As we go on with any journey that we take, we always have expectations within ourselves, expectations from the people around us. Sometimes those are too much for us to handle. We let the pressure get the best of us before we even try. So instead of failing and not meeting what is expected of us, we simply just stay put.

  4. Not Enough Support System

We always ought to believe that motivation and victory always begin within ourselves. Yes, this may be true, but not always the case. There are also people that need to be pushed out of their comfort zones. They need that extra little something to help them. Success does not have to be achieved alone. It’s really nice to have family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers giving support to you through the difficult times.

  5. Financial Limitations

Not everyone has interpersonal issues, its just that their resources simply could not allow them to. There are people who have the will, but due to their financial situation, they remain stagnant. Even though there are agencies that offer zero placement fees and assistance with exams, we have to admit it at some point we still have to pay for our own expenses.

As human beings we are so vulnerable to experiencing so many problems in lives, the degree and severity of those trials do not define your success. Having failure should not stop you from chasing glory.

I do not know what kind of turmoil you are personally experiencing that renders you stagnant, I may or may not have hit the spots. But whatever it is, hopefully, this article helps you understand more of what you are going through.
