Let us share some information with you. After passing the NCLEX, Illinois BON will send you license in Let us share some information with you. After passing the NCLEX, Illinois BON will send you the license to your email address, not your mailing address. It will be both a certificate and a pocket-sized license. However, you will receive the license 4 to 8 weeks after you settle the payment for the license application fee. The license Application Fee is 50USD.
The Board of Nursing will not automatically issue your license after you passed the NCLEX Illinois Board of Nursing. Unlike Texas and New York, you automatically have the license.
With regard to the license expiration, please do note that your license through Illinois Board of Nursing will expire every May 31st of an even year.
Meaning to say, if it’s issued today, it will expire on May 31, 2020 (even year). If you were expecting that it should be 2 years then you got it wrong. Illinois license is still a single-state license. Should you be deployed in another state, then IPASS Processing can assist you for your License Endorsement to another state.

I’ve read various things online for how to obtain your RN license in IL but it is unclear. I have tried to call the IDFPR multiple times but cannot get hold of anyone because they have too many people calling them, so i have left my number for them to call back but have not received a phone call for over a week now.

Posted at 22:37h, 17 JuneThe state sends you an official pass letter and will have directions on where to mail the $50 fee. It depends on whether you live in northern or southern IL. I just got my official letter Monday, and they give you a slip to fill out and the address to mail that and the money.
